Word Game is a role-playing puzzle game crafted entirely with Chinese characters, serving both as an interactive digital artwork and an immersive experience. Centered around the theme of "Make room for words," the installation transforms words into a tangible space, inviting visitors to step into the world of Word Game.

As part of my role as a creative technologist, I redesigned the game mechanics in TouchDesigner, integrating physical controls via Arduino to enhance the user experience. I collaborated closely with Team 9 during the design phase, prototyping the experience to ensure it delivered a surprising and unique interpretation of the puzzle. The redesign added a new dimension—both literal and metaphorical—that deepened the audience's engagement.

Visitors are encouraged to physically walk across the projected map of Word Game, navigating between "text" and "images" in real-time. This dynamic interplay urges participants to reconsider the relationship between abstract text and concrete objects, blurring the boundaries between the two and creating a thought-provoking exploration of language and meaning.
